Family commitments brought our couple to Provence from their comfortable life in Australia. Hamish was a building contractor and Veruschka a successful scuba diving photographer. Both had a passion for coffee and enjoyed the barista scene down under.

Upon moving, they were amazed that despite the French’s passion for coffee, the quality and variety on offer wasn’t the best available. For example, many cafés offer Robusta coffee, well known for its unpleasant aftertaste. They set themselves a mission to change this and studied the art of coffee roasting, and thus created Lorgues Coffee Roasters (LCR).

Top baristas have complimented their coffee, and it’s being sold in high-end hotels, restaurants and cafés. LCR also enjoy a steady clientele who order online, or visit them at the markets.
